Question:  It's good news that Quick & Easy 1099/W2 for Windows and After the Fact Payroll for Windows for tax year 2007 both have a special feature that automatically resizes the screen to match your individual screen setting.  However, many programs still work best with monitors set at 800x600 resolution.   How do I reset my screen size to 800x600?

 

Answer:  It’s a basic Windows adjustment and it’s not hard to do.  

Here are the steps if you’re using Windows 98:  

(1) Exit from Quick & Easy 1099/W2 for Windows. (2)  On your Windows desktop, find the icon for “My Computer” and click on it.  (3) Click on the icon for “Control Panel”  (4) Click on the icon for “Display”  (5) Click on the tab for “Settings” (6) In the box labeled “screen area”, move the slider just a little bit to the right with your mouse.  The screen size will show as 800x600.  (7) Click on “ok”  (8) When asked if you want to restart your computer, click on "yes". (9) After the computer restarts, go back to Quick & Easy 1099/W2 for Windows.    That's all there is to it!!

 

Here are the steps if you’re using Windows 95: 

(1) Exit from Quick & Easy 1099/W2 for Windows.  2.  On your Windows desktop, find the icon for “My Computer” and click on it.  (3) Click on the icon for “Control Panel”  (4) Click on the icon for “Display”  (5) Click on the “Settings” tab.  (6) In the Desktop area, slide the indicator left or right until “800 x 600” appears in the window.  (7) Click on “Apply”.  (8) Click on “OK”.  Under some circumstances you may be required to restart your PC. (9) after the computer restarts, go back to Quick & Easy 1099/W2 for Windows.  That's all there is to it!!
